Seasonal Interest-Free Loan Distribution to Widows by Lift a Woman Initiatives

Lift a Widow Initiatives has distributed another round of interest-free seasonal loans to widows, aimed at boosting their businesses during the festive period. These loans, ranging from N100,000 to N300,000 per person, are to be repaid by January 31st, 2021, to make room for loans to regular beneficiaries who receive assistance over a period of 9 months to 1 year. Due to funding constraints, only 10 women were selected for the seasonal loan this year, though more qualified applicants were available. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and the End SARS protest, we are proud to report a 90% repayment compliance rate from the women who received loans earlier in the year.
